Mrs. Denise Gonzalez
I am thrilled to introduce myself as the new proud principal of Las Lomas Elementary School. My name is Denise Gonzalez, and I am excited to embark on this journey with all of you.
With 17 years of experience in education, I have had the privilege of teaching kindergarten through fifth grade and serving as a teacher advisor. I also have seven years of experience as an assistant principal, where I developed a passion for supporting both students and educators in their growth and success. My education experiences included time in Corpus Christi ISD, North East ISD, and most recently, Comal ISD.
I was born and raised in Corpus Christi. I have lived in San Antonio since June 2019, and I feel fortunate to call this vibrant city home. My family includes my husband, whom I married in March 2007, and our wonderful 12-year-old son, who is currently in NEISD. As a parent, I understand the importance of creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment for our children.
As I step into this role, I am committed to honoring the rich traditions and values that make Las Lomas Elementary special. I believe that these traditions are essential in fostering a sense of belonging and pride within our community. I am dedicated to working collaboratively with our incredible staff to continue these practices while also seeking new ways to enhance the educational experience for our students.
Together, I know we can create an exceptional environment that supports our students’ curiosity, creativity, and love for learning. I am here to support our staff, our students, and their families, and I look forward to building strong relationships within our community.
I look forward to getting to know each of you, hearing your ideas, and working together to make Las Lomas a place where every student can thrive.
